Jenna Ortega's Wednesday Addams Halloween-Inspired Hair

Sweet? No. Sinister? Always. And somehow still flawless — even covered in blood. Picture Wednesday after the Nevermore dance - same poker face, but the night got… messy. This look blends gothic elegance with unbothered rebellion: a sleek crown braid, eerie makeup, and a splash of blood for drama. It’s equal parts dark romance and chaotic energy.

What you’ll need:

Steps:

  1. Start sleek: Blow-dry smooth and shiny using the Airsonic Dryer. Add a touch of serum for that high-shine, no-frizz base.
  2. Create your part: Go for a sharp centre part - Wednesday doesn’t do messy symmetry.
  3. Section and braid: Starting just behind your ear, take a section and begin a Dutch braid (braiding under, not over) around the crown of your head, feeding in small sections as you go. Continue wrapping it around until it forms a full halo.
  4. Secure and hide: Once you reach the end, tuck the tail under the starting braid and secure with discreet pins.
  5. Polish it off: Smooth flyaways with serum or a touch of shine spray. The look should feel sculpted and a little too perfect - like she did it herself while plotting someone’s demise.
  6. Optional gore: For a haunting finish, run a streak of fake blood through the ends of the braid or let a few drops drip from the hairline into the braid. Just enough to make people double-take.

  1. Using a tool such as the Straight & Curl Brilliance, create a centre part and section hair into small sections. Take care to wave each part in sections of the same thickness, approx. 2.5cm in length. 
  2. Once all the hair has been waved, let it cool, then using a boar bristle brush, brush over each section until the curls become more wave-like. 
  3. Another option is to finish with pastel coloured hair chalk, either all over the hair or just colour dip the ends. Increase shine with a glitter spray or serum.

  • A clip to section your hair into two parts
  • A curling wand
  • Hairspray 
  • A headband or tiara if you want to be more queen than princess. 

Here are the steps to get Blair Waldorf hair: 

  1. Section your hair into two parts.

  3. Use your fingers to loosen curls to a wave and separate them once cool. Spray with hairspray from hold and finish with the accessory of your choice.

We have to admit that Halloween can have a reputation for being a bit cliche when it comes to the dressing up department. There are only so many years you can get dressed up as a sexy cat or a vampire’s wife, which is why this 90s throwback to Gwen Steffani in her No Doubt days is the perfect look for those looking to stand out from the crowd.

Follow the steps below and you’ll have yourself, a cute vintage Halloween hairstyle that requires no qualifications.

  1. Start by going over your hair with a straightener like the Digital Sensor Straightener and run it through your strands in order to make sure that you’re starting with a super smooth base. Do not worry about making it look perfect, as soon it’s all going to be tied up. 
  2. Next, take two 2.5cm sections of hair and begin tieing each section into a mini knot, securing with a small, tight elastic.
  3. Repeat until the whole head is complete.
  4. Spray the mini knots with a medium-hold hairspray to set.

Día de los Muertos – Mexican-inspired Day Of The Dead Skull Glam

Día de los Muertos is all about the Day of the Dead tradition – celebrating remembrance and beauty.  Here’s how to get pretty pastel hair that pairs perfectly with your otherworldly makeup. 

  1. On towel‑dried hair, work a golf‑ball‑sized amount of lightweight mousse from roots to ends and mist with heat protectant.
     
  2. Using the Hydro Smooth 5-in-1 Air Styler with the concentrator attachment, blow-dry against the natural fall at the crown for lift, then smooth the top layer in the direction it will sit. Set the style by finishing with the cool setting.
     
  3. With the Hydro Smooth 5‑in‑1 Air Styler (round brush attachment), lift the roots at the crown and bevel the fringe slightly. Keep the ends soft, not curled.
     
  4. Use a straightener (we recommend the Straight & Curl Brilliance) to add tiny bends through the top for movement.
     
  5. If hair isn’t already lilac, mist a temporary pastel spray or apply hair chalk, focusing on the top layer and fringe. Comb through lightly to diffuse.
     
  6. Mist dry texturising spray through the mid‑lengths for lift; pinch sections with a pea of matte paste to define. Lock the silhouette with a light veil of flexible‑hold hairspray.
     
  7. Anchor the floral crown with two bobby pins crossed at each temple. Fluff the fringe over the band so it disappears in photos.
