AC Hairdryer motor

An AC (Alternate Current) hairdryer motor is an extremely high performance motor, designed for long-life styling and salon use. This type of hairdryer is designed for professional use and is used in hairdressing salons.

An AC motor provides an extra powerful concentrated air velocity, for faster drying and styling. These motors automatically switch off heat and completely produce ‘cold’ air (when pressing the cold shot button), in order to ‘freeze’ a style in place, unlike DC motors, which can only produce a shot of ‘cool’ air.

This motor is heavier than your standard DC motor, but has a much longer life span. An AC motor is also quieter in operation.

The average life of this motor is approximately 500 hours.
