Using the Waves and Curl Salon Styler

If you want to be able to create those deep tousled natural waves one day and defined structured curls the next and maybe a modern curl for a special occasion, or even soft waves and curls then this is the hair styling tool for you!

The VS Sassoon Waves and Curls Salon Styler is more a complete hair styling kit than single hair styling tool and is designed for those of you that like a versatile look.

This is a dry styling tool so you need to ensure your hair is 100% dry by pre-drying before you use it and that it is knot/tangle free.

How To use the different attachments:

19mm Curling Tong for creating defined structured curls

1. Attach the 19mm tong attachment to the power handle and select desired temperature and turn appliance on.
2. Section your hair starting from the back bottom half of your head then continue around the side and front section.
3. Separate small sections of hair and place the ends of one section under the clamping tong.
4. Holding at a vertical angle, rotate the barrel by rolling the hair up towards the roots. Try not to overlap the hair on the tong. Hold for 5-10 seconds or for maximum results hold for longer (this can be held for a longer or shorter period of time depending on your hair type and desired style).
5. You can determine the size and tightness of the curl depending on how tightly you roll the hair up the tong.
6. To prevent crimped ends, make sure your hair is placed properly under the clamp in the desired direction for the curl.
7. Release the curl by pressing the lever to open the clamp, and then slide the barrel out.
8. Repeat until the desired amount of curls has been achieved.
9. To “set” the curl, wait until your hair has cooled.

Triple Barrelled Styler

1. Section your hair using hair clips into 4 quarters (2 back sections and 2 front).
2. Starting with 1 of the back sections, subdivide it into managable sections about 5cm wie or the width of the triple barrelled styler.
3. Horizontally across the section, clamp the styler for 5-10 seconds (depending on your hair type and style you want). You can start at the ends or the roots depending on what is easier for you and your hair length. The indent of the last wave can be used as a guide if you need to insert it multiple times.
4. Loosen the cooled finished waves with your fingers by 'raking' them through your hair until you get the hair style finish you want.

Tip: When finished the look, don't use a brush as this will flatten and frizz the waves in your hair too much for most of you.

Spiral Sleeve Attachment for creating modern drop curls

1. Attach the 19mm tong attachment to the power handle, then attach the spiral sleeve attachment by sliding it over the tong under the clamp then select desired temperature and turn appliance on.
2. NOTE: TONG MUST BE COOL WHEN ATTACHING AND REMOVING THE SPIRAL SLEEVE ATTACHMENT.
3. Take a 2-3cm section of hair and place the ends of one section under the clamp and roll it carefully around the spiral. Hold for about 10 seconds and unroll gently.
4. Repeat until the desired amount of curls has been achieved.

Brush Sleeve Attachment for creating soft waves and curls

1. Attach the 19mm tong attachment to the power handle, then attach the brush sleeve attachment by sliding it over the tong under the clamp then select desired temperature and turn appliance on.
2. NOTE: TONG MUST BE COOL WHEN ATTACHING AND REMOVING THE BRUSH SLEEVE ATTACHMENT.
3. Take a 2-3cm section of hair and place the ends of one section under the clamp and roll it carefully around the brush sleeve. Hold for about 10 seconds and unroll gently.
4. Repeat until the desired amount of curls have been achieved.
5. Styling Tip - For professional results, comb a small amount of mousse or styling gel through the hair before drying and styling.
