How To blow-dry with the Hair Designer™

Ensure that your hair is clean, towel-dried and combed through before using the dryer.
Pre-dry your hair using the highest heat/speed settings and the concentrator nozzle until the hair is slightly damp.
Attach the straightener attachment and select the tension recommended for your hair type. When first using the straightener attachment, it is advised to use tension 1 (the weakest tension) to familiarise yourself with the dryer.
It is best to work in sections when straightening the hair. Clip together the upper layer of the hair on top of your head, and begin with the hair underneath and at the nape of the neck.
Move on to the hair on the back of the neck and then onto the sides.
Finish with the upper layers of your hair.

Styling Tips

To reduce the volume of thick or voluminous hair, place the dryer on top of the section of hair.
If your hair is quite fine or lifeless, place the dryer underneath the section of the hair – it will straighten whilst lifting the roots and giving more life and volume.

Select the horizontal position on the straightener attachment.
Separate the hair into equal sections approximately 5cm wide. Place the dryer (detangling comb facing down) at the roots of the hair ensuring that the teeth of the detangling comb completely penetrate the hair.
With a slight twisting motion of the wrist, turn the appliance under and slide it down slowly along the length of the hair – this will give the tourmaline-ceramic slides and ceramic smoothing plate the maximum effect.
Repeat process if necessary and finish with a push of the cool shot button for better hold.

Repeat process if necessary and finish with a push of the cool shot button for better hold.

Select the vertical position on the straightener attachment.
Separate the hair into equal sections about 5cm wide. Hold the dryer (detangling combs facing up) under the section of the hair and place it at the roots, ensuring that the teeth of the detangling comb completely penetrate the hair.
Gently pull the dryer to about 3cm from the roots and turn under; this will allow tourmaline ceramic slides and ceramic smoothing plate to give you the maximum effect.
Hold the dryer parallel to your scalp for 5 seconds, and then slide the appliance slowly towards the ends.
Repeat if necessary and finish with a push of the cool shot button for perfect hold.

Select the vertical position on the straightener attachment.
Separate the hair into equal sections about 5cm wide. Place the dryer (detangling comb facing up) under the section of the hair.
With a slight twisting motion of the wrist, turn the dryer upwards to lift the roots and slide it slowly over the ends.
Hold for 5 to 10 seconds; the tourmaline ceramic slides and ceramic smoothing plate work best this way.
Repeat if necessary and finish with a push of the cool shot button for perfect hold.

Once the straightening process is finished, set your style with a shot of ionic cool air to reduce static electricity.

Detach the straightener attachment by pressing the 2 attachment release lock buttons on each side of the barrel and gently remove attachment.
Click the concentrator attachment into position on the appliance. Using the attachment release lock buttons, you can position the concentrator to desired angle for maximum styling control.
Turn on the Hair Designer™, set on lower heat/speed setting position.
Press the cool shot button, aiming the airflow at the top of your head first and working down the hair. This will set your style for lasting effect.
