VS Sassoon offer 2 very different ways of blow-drying your hair straight. The classic version using a hairdryer with a nozzle and brush or the unique Hair Designers that allow you to dry and straighten your hair in one simple step that is so easy everyone can achieve great results every time.

There are many varied ways of blow-drying your hair and this is just one.

Shampoo and condition your hair.
Detangle your hair using a wide toothed comb.
Apply your favourite styling product – for straight hair try thermal protecting sprays and straightening balms.
Rough dry the hair using your dryer to remove the excess wetness until your hair is about 80% dry. This saves time and means that you only start styling the hair when it is ready to take on the shape you want.
Section your hair into 4 sections (2 front with the parting forming to top of these and 2 back)
Starting at the back with the hair in the nape, section off approximately a 5cm section of hair. If this section is wider than the brush, separate it into handleable amounts. Clip the hair to be dryed later out of the way.
Use your brush to remove any tangles that have formed in the section of hair. Draw your brush over the surface of the section from roots to ends and follow the brush with your hairdryer with the concentrator nozzle attached, directing the airflow from your hairdryer along the length of the hair.
Concentrate on drying the roots and lengths of the hair first and then worry about the ends which can be bent around the hair brush and flicked out or under. For a professional finish, the hair can be curled or straightened later once all of the hair is dry with a hot styling tool.
Check that each section is fully dry before moving to the next step as any remaining dampness will cause your hair to frizz.
Once all of the hair is dryed you can finish it for a super sleek look with straightening irons or simply smooth over the surface a few drops of smoothing serum and a little hair spray if you wish to hold and protect the hair from humidity.
