Creating Flicks at the end of hair with VS SassoonBlow-drying Hair to Flick Out at the ends
The easiest way to ‘flick’ or kick out the ends of your hair is with the Hair Designer Airstyle or a hot brush in shorter hair. For long and shorter lengths of hair you can use the You Curl or straightening irons. Alternatively you could try the old fashioned way with a round bristle brush and your hair dryer but if its quick and easy hair styling you are after then we think the first options are the best.

Shorter Hair Tips:
- If your hair cut is shaped around your face, angle the Airstyler or hot brush to follow the perimeter of your hair cut. This will keep all the hair easily around the brush.
- If you want a more textured flick/curled result through out all of your hair choose the You Curl or slim straightening iron and only curl the mid lengths and ends of your hair.

Tips for using the Hair Designer Airstyle to turn the ends out on shorter hair:
- Take up a section of hair of about 3cm wide and place the head of the Airstyle as close as possible to the roots, on top of the section of hair.
- Turning the handle out slightly, slide the unit slowly over the tips, using your free hand if necessary to guide the rounding of the section.
- Hold in place for 5 seconds: the effect of the tourmaline-ceramic coated straightening slides and velvet finishing comb is then maximized.
- Repeat if necessary and finish with the cool setting.

Longer Hair Tips:
- For a soft flick to the ends of your hair choose the Hair Designers which make all types of hair styling idiot proof.
- For a fuller more rounded flick to the ends of the hair, the You Curl or Goddess (used in a similar way to creating a loose curl) is great. Simply begin curling from the mid lengths to ends rather than at the scalp once finished then brush out the curls with a paddle or cushion brush to create soft flicked curl.
Tips for using the Hair Designers to curl the ends out on longer hair:
- Select the vertical position on the straightener attachment.
- Separate the hair into equal sections about 5cm wide. Hold the dryer (Detangling Comb facing down) over the section of the hair.
- With a slight twisting motion of the wrist, turn the appliance over and slide it slowly towards the ends of the hair, using your free hand to turn the hair up.
- Hold it for 5 to 10 seconds; this will allow the tourmaline-ceramic slides and ceramic smoothing plate to give you the maximum effect.
- Repeat process if necessary and finish with a push of the Cool Shot button for better hold.
