Using a Hairdryer with the Concentrator Nozzle by VS Sassoon

Using a Concentrator Nozzle

Concentrator nozzles are designed to direct the airflow from your hair dryer to just where you want it, to ease styling and straightening. For additional control use one of the lower speed setting with a higher heat as this will dry your hair just as quickly and help prevent you blowing in the wrong direction. Nozzles also help you to direct the airflow along the length of the hair from roots to ends, this is important because it helps to smooth the outer surface or cuticle of the hair giving your hair style a smoother finish.

Care should be taken not to direct the air flow directly onto the skin (e.g. the scalp, neck, ears and face)

The same applies to using the nozzle (or end of hairdryer) too close to the hair when it is wrapped around a brush as this could burn your hair and definitely never rest the concentrator nozzle on the hair and brush to hold it in place! You should always leave a 2cm to 3cm gap between the end of the nozzle and the hair around the brush.
